Jonathan The Grand Patron For The Actors

The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, has decorated President Goodluck Jonathan as the Grand Patron of the body.

The decoration was held on Tuesday when the President of the guild, Ibinabo Fiberesima led others prominent actors and film makers including Segun Arinze, Fidelis Duker and Stephanie Okereke to the State House, Abuja.

The Minister of Information, Labaran Maku was also in attendance.

It will be recalled that in 2013, President Goodluck Jonathan at a presidential dinner to celebrate the movie industry at 20, held at State House, Marina, Lagos unveiled a N3 billion  package to help turnaround Nollywood, which has seen growth in production and sales within past years, but remains heavily criticized for low content quality.

Several Nigerian artistes including nd others bagged nominations in various categories in the 2014 World Music Awards. The World Music Awards rewards the best-selling music artistes from every continent. It is decided by votes. Iyanya leads the Nigerian nominees with 6 awards

FINALLY OLUMAINTAIN OPENS UP ON SECRET WEDDING PHOTOS

The pictures suggesting a marriage vow between Nigerian artiste, Olu Maintain and a Brazilian beauty were leaked(or so we are made to believe).

With such wedding photos going viral, nigerianfilms.com decided to speak with the numerous hit wonder," If Olumaintain is married or not, the right time will tell. However, I will be honest to you in the light that so many things has happened upon my visit to Brazil. I will tell you that the visit to Brazil has blessed my life and the emotions are beyond imaginations. Stay focus there's no smoke without fire...every thing will be made known to the public soon" he said.

This is not the first time, artistes will go the extra mile to create publicity stunts. Time will tell if this is another staged stunt, a behind-the-scene clips of an upcoming music video or a secret wedding.

Clarence Peters accused of intellectual property theft again!

After being called a thief by South African Rapper Tunmi Molekane for lifting visual material from Tumi’s “Asinamali” video for Tiwa Savage and Don Jazzy‘s  hit single “Eminado”, Clarence Peters has been accused of intellectual theft again, Nigerian Entertainment Today(NET) reports.

The award winning music video director has been accused of copying exact concepts off the music video of  US rap group SlaughterHouse‘s video ‘My life‘ featuring Cee Lo Green for Iceprince’s “VIP” video.

The discrepancies were noticed by NET and images from both videos were put side by side, showing how Clarence Peters copied exact images and concepts from Slaughterhouse’s video.
